Run A Better Set
Its’s nearly a decade of RABS. I'm more energized about our mission than ever.
Responsibility, Accountability, Better Service. In a world of automation, it’s the details, precision and effort that set RABS apart. I started as a production assistant in Dallas, TX and it’s where I imagined the first RABS app. I had no engineering or app dev experience. So I spent nights and weekends trying to team with engineers. The results were two years of failed launches. I found myself working odd jobs and moving in with my parents back in Wynnewood, PA. Every dollar I had went to RABS. That’s the abbreviated 2016-2017; I kept taking risks and I failed often. But I stayed with it. I found a way to hire the right engineers at last! We built the first true RABS app in September 2017 and the app was on set on March 18, 2018. From there, I focused on getting the next show. So I packed and flew to LA, ATL, NM, NOLA… I believed as long as I could sell RABS to one show, I could sell RABS to two. If two, I could sell four. If four, I could sell eight. Now, we're nearing our thousandth show and our users loaded with hundreds of Emmy and Oscar wins and noms. For all the success, I live with the same core business values today as I did back in 2016: ideas are divine, creativity is more useful than money, people buy what they want, and grit wins. The real story of building RABS is a HOW. How to show up to work, how to get punched and keep fighting, how to sell, how to celebrate and how to be grateful, and how to evolve. I own 100% of RABS. I don't only mean our balance sheet. I own our shortcomings and our successes. This company, our team, they are my responsibility. I believe Americans would live greater and more satisfying lives if they lived the responsibility and accountability ethic fully. Stop thinking, start doing, and be your own hero.
